Peter Rocchia founded The Wicker Works in 1972, and his visionary designs served a role in elevating wicker furnishings to a symbol of high-end elegance for the home. Inspired by an ancient Roman frieze he encountered in Florence depicting a wicker “bath chair,” Rocchia’s designs celebrate the timeless beauty and functionality of woven wicker.

Our unique braiding process is so complex that it was patented, remaining exclusive to The Wicker Works for over two decades.
